

All students must be at least 18 years old or be a High School Graduate or equivalent and pass an entrance examination
Applicants that do not have a High School Diploma or GED and want to apply for Title IV funds need to take an “Ability-to-Benefit” (ATB) Entrance Exam administered by an Independent Test Administrator (ITA)

The International Students Office provides many services for prospective and current international students including assistance in applying for an M-1visa.
MTI is authorized by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service to issue the I-20 form. Students who currently live outside the U.S. can use an I-20 to apply for an M-1 Visa from their home country. Admission Requirements Interested International Students should request an application for admission from the Office of International Services.
Entrance Procedure for International Students requesting M-I status is:
Students must complete and submit an International Student Admission Packet
A $95 non-refundable application fee in US dollars must be submitted with the application
Applicants must demonstrate sufficient knowledge of English to enable them to benefit from the instruction; adequate English proficiency is determined by a satisfactory score (425+) on the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) and/or concurrent enrollment in English Language Training.
Evidence of academic achievement which is equivalent to American high school graduation or higher must be submitted and the transcripts of the original records must be accompanied by a notarized English translation
Students must present satisfactory statements about their character, background and experience and include a statement of financial support
Students must provide proof of private health insurance during their entire course of studies at MTI College, meeting the minimum requirements
The INS restricts off-campus employment and students must obtain approval from the INS before they can legally be employed

Surgical Technology: High school graduate or GED Medical Laboratory Technician Associate: High school graduate or GED Medical Assistant: High school graduate or GED and/or successfully pass the Ability-to-Benefit examination administered by an Independent Test Administrator (ITA).
Ultrasound (Diagnostic Medical Sonography): Must be a high school graduate and satisfy one of the following: an Associate Degree or equivalent from an accredited college; graduate of a two-year allied health education program that is patient care related. Allied Health Occupations include, but are not limited to, Diagnostic Medical sonographer, Radiology Technologist, Respiratory Therapist, Registered Nurse, and Surgical Technology. Medical Biller / Office Management: High school graduate or GED and/or successfully pass the Ability-to-Benefit examination administered by an Independent Test Administrator (ITA).
Each applicant is provided with the MTI catalog and a variety of information regarding the nature of the allied health occupational training program desired.
In the event that the applicant is not a high school graduate or equivalent, the admissions representative will provide the applicant with a list of approved centers in the area that offer GED classes and testing.

The estimated cost of tuition varies based on the program a student is completing. Tuition is charged per academic year and the calculations are based on the number of weeks a student attempts.
Final tuition and fee information is presented on the student's program enrollment agreement.
