Surgical Technology

Start a rewarding career by becoming a key member of the Surgical Team in a Hospital, Out-patient Surgical Center, Clinic, Urgent-care Facility, or a private Surgeons Office. As a key member of the Surgical Team you work closely with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, and Registered Nurses and others to

 Prepare the OR with sterilized instruments, equipment, fluids, and supplies

 Deliver critical patient care before, during, and after surgery

 Manage Surgeon needs, passing them instruments and monitoring equipment

This 15-month (62-week) Diploma Program is in-classroom and in-clinic, where students complete an externship after passing their academic requirements. On graduating you receive the Diploma of Surgical Technology and are eligible to sit the National Certifying Examination, administered by the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technology.

 
Clinical Research Professional Program

This 1 year Program uses training in both the classroom and clinical setting.

Clinical Research is an essential branch of medical science that determines the safety and effectiveness of medications, devices, diagnostic products, and treatment regimens intended for human use. These may be used for prevention, treatment, diagnosis or for relief of symptoms in a disease.










A Clinical Research Professional assists in the design, preparation, planning, implementation and review of a clinical trial to ensure it adheres to regulatory and ethical standards. A clinical research Professional ensures compliance with the clinical trial protocol, checks clinical site activities, makes on-site visits, reviews Case Report Forms (CRFs) and communicates with clinical research investigators. They are usually required to possess an academic degree in Life Sciences and needs to have a good knowledge of Good clinical practice and local regulations.

Upon Completion of our course you will understand- Obtaining and Monitoring Informed Consent, Recruiting and Retaining the Study Subjects, Selecting Investigators, Conducting Adverse Event and Safety Monitoring, Preparing for Audits, Detecting Fraud. Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Understanding the Informed Consent Process, Working with Protocols and Case Report Forms, Recognizing Adverse Events.

As clinical research is a rapidly expanding field, creating exciting opportunities for trained professionals. Graduates of this program are employed in both the hospital sector and research industries, and can advance to management roles. CR professionals work in a broad range of research settings, including:

Medical Assistant

In this fast growing profession; our graduates enjoy careers at HMOs, Medical Clinics, Doctors Offices, Chiropractors Offices, and Rehabilitation Centers. This program prepares you as a Medical Assistant for Clinical and Administrative capacity. This 8-month (30-week) Program builds your fundamental knowledge and understanding of basic human anatomy and common pathology learn the use of Medical Terminology as it relates to the clinical environment and become skilled in routine diagnostic laboratory procedures, assisting in routine patient examinations and surgical procedures, and understand the administration of medications, as well as your legal and ethical responsibilities.

 
Ultrasound (Diagnostic Medical Sonography)

Our 18-month (72-week) Diploma Program is a balanced education using competency-based, in classroom and in-clinic instruction and demonstration training also includes performance and testing of practical skills.

Medical Biller / Office Management

This 8-month (30-week) program trains you in basic human anatomy, medical terminology, medical-front office procedures, and submission of medical claims, managed care, insurance reimbursement, procedure and diagnostic coding, all phases of collection procedures for insurance carriers, including tracing a medical claim, appealing low payments, patient accounts, and preparing an account collection.

Students learn to manage accounts for a medical office. They learn how to process workers Compensation claims, Personal Injury, Medi-Care, and Medi-Cal. Students participate in an externship on successful completion of all academic requirements and receive a Diploma upon completion of the program.
